Mahurangi Marine Ltd was established in 1996. As well as servicing all brands of boat motors we are authorised Honda / Yanmar dealers.

Both workshop and mobile services are available and, with the advent of the Sandspit Marina, we are often seen working on vessels there, as well as at other local boatyards.

Meet the Team

Marine technicians:

Wayne Adkins is an A Grade mechanic and, since the purchase of Mahurangi Marine Ltd, has completed many courses specialising in servicing Marine Engines and Electronics. Wayne has developed a wealth of knowledge in sales and service, and his love of boating means he can usually answer those curly questions that boaties love to pose.

Jasper ter Riet, who came on board April 2018, is in the Workshop further developing his mechanical skills to all types and sizes of Marine Motors that Mahurangi Marine Ltd work on. Jasper has his Inshore Skippers licence and has been around boats most of his life. Jasper is often found out and about exploring the bays with his family.

Taine Mahue has been helpng out around the Workshop and Display area after school during 2021. Over this time he showed keen interest in Marine Service & Repair work and has now started his Apprenticeship under Wayne’s watchful eye .

The Hub:

Lee assists Wayne with the office / accounting aspect of the business. As our regulars know, Lee was instrumental in assisting Wayne with the development of Mahurangi Marine from inception. If you want to know anything more about our range of marine service, call 09 425 5806.

Mahurangi Marine Ltd has a selection of used boats and outboards, although these are subject to availability.

In the shop you will find various electronic systems and other chandlery items including life-jackets, safety equipment, anchors and chain and a small range of fishing tackle including soft-baits, ice & bait. We also carry an extensive range of stainless-steel fasteners.
